Hotel Renovation in Waterbury by Stu/D/O Architects:

“A 1950’s Hong Kong inspired beach house in the South East of England was deprived of its original facade and decorated in an orthogonal fashion.

The large opening and new basement work have been made to even more intriguing by the inclusion of a water drain adjacent to the new basement.

The compartments within the new extension are made of glass to allow a continuous view out the enhanced view of the water beyond.

The roof area has been partially raised to cope with the poor solar aspect of the site.”
