This garage renovation took place in the same Miami neighborhood which gave rise to the nickname Miami Garage. A renovation by Arquitectonica led to the Challenge #1, a 4,600 square foot single family home with a front porch and a driveway that served as a garage until the late 1970’s.
Carpenter Ralph Daniels built the house and chose CranePaine as the general contractor.
Although the renovation took two years to complete, the result is a 4,600 square foot home with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a clean-lined garage and a simple open living space.
The garage was renovated in 2006.
The swimming pool area, considered the core of the house, is enclosed on three sides by two 4 foot tall sliding stainless steel and glass doors.
The ground level is made of marble while the third side is formed by black porcelain gardening surfaces.
The Fifth floor contains the main living area, conference room, media room, home office, two bedrooms with bathroom and master suite with bathroom and second bedroom with walk-in closet.
The Fifth floor has a small enclosed garden as well.
The property is currently offered at $3,450,000.
