Bathroom Renovation in Yakima by Furuya Design:
“This is a renovation of a private residence located in Yakima, Japan.
The renovation was started in 2010 and ended in 2011. The total budget was $20,000,000.
The layout of the house is had the bedroom in the west wing, the bathroom in the east and the living room in the north which is also an open space.
As expected, the bathroom is also an open space.
The main goal was to open up the living room and allow the overall effect to be viewed as one large area.
There are no divisions between public and private areas, except for the bathroom / lighting. The materials for this renovation were the tiled roof, exposed concrete, and metal sheets painted white.
The design is characterized by clean lines and medium shades of grey.
It’s a very inspiring project. The fact that the tiled roof adds that extra touch of minimalism to the whole house is a plus.”
